Education and Qualifications
An alumnus of Cranfield University’s Silsoe College in Agricultural Environmental Engineering, James is also a  Certified Arborist and habitat manager. His qualifications and experience in large-scale Building, Development, and nature(BDNG) projects highlight his blend of technical expertise and practical outcomes in biodiversity and conservation.

Career Highlights
1996: Underwriter at Certa MGA (Allianz AG), building a foundation in assessing environmental liabilities.
2003-2014: As founder of ATS Arboriculture, James led biodiversity and ecosystem restoration projects, including Acid Grassland Restoration and river catchment programs in the UK and EU.
2014-Present: International Practice Leader  at WTW and, latterly, Lockton Companies LLP, designing environmental insurance solutions. 

Achievements
2021: Named a 5-Star Top Global Environmental Risk and Broking Expert by Insurance Business Magazine.As a Lloyd's member, James has impacted global insurance markets, especially in environmental risk across regions including the UK, LATAM, ASIAPAC, and EMEA.
